I am a traveler, healer, and guide.
Hi…
I’m Michelle. And this is my story…
In 2020 I experienced a dark night of the soul. Through trauma, and feeling the deepest despair of my humanity, I felt I would not stay here in this life.
With divine guidance and some amazing experts,
I Am Here
They shined their light upon a path I now call “Trauma to True Self”. I had a team: a coach, 2 medical doctors, a nurse, a therapist and a yoga instructor. The path was often dark and painful. They saw me and believed in me. They knew my name. They saw in me what I couldn’t yet see.
Slowly, I saw my own light growing deep within. At first, it was like a little lightening bug. But that was enough to keep me going. To press on through the darkness into the great light of who I truly am. To be who I was born to be, and not who I was told to be. Some call it a journey home, some say we are already there. It is all true. There is here.
The medical world calls it post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD); the philosophers called it spiritual awakening. It is all true.
I am thankful for the medical professionals who had the expert knowledge to find me. I will forever be grateful to them. It is a daily practice back to me.
During my recovery I came across some amazing nurse-coaches that practice under the scope of the American Holistic Nurses Association. My trauma team highly suggested I take their clinical course. I knew then what I was meant to do. As a nurse of 33 years, a nurse practitioner of 14 years, along with my healing and recovery of PTSD; I knew I was also a guide to the true self. To be who we are born to be and not who we are told to be; to live the life we came here to live; not the one we are told to live. The journey doesn’t have to be from a place of trauma. The journey starts from where we are at this moment.
They say, it is by thy grace we are healed. It is true. I basked in the field of grace of those who saw me until I could feel that grace was already within me.
It hasn’t been all dark. There has been some fun along the way. My team created a safe place for me to be me.
So my new practice will be a little different. My stethoscope is an ear of deep listening, my otoscope is an eye of intuition and truth, and my prescription pad now says things like mindfulness, self-care, nature hikes and yoga.
My mentors are the healers, the gurus, the sages, the nurse-coaches, the stars, wind, water, birds and trees!
The Light of God within guides my steps.
My exam room will be a sacred space of the heart. A safe place to be who we are.
My medical bag has essential oils, oracle cards, mantras, sound bowls, and the teachings of those who have gone before me.
My previous tools have their place, for they taught me so much over the years.
They are gently placed on the shelf with gratitude and honor. They are there if I need them.
You can expect me to see you and meet you where you are. As a clinician, I created a safe and sacred space for people to recover from illness. As a guide, I hold a safe and sacred space for you to recover your true self. A space to be vulnerable, curious, empowered, encouraged to face fears, laugh, and create the life you envision. We go there together.
I finished the certification course in 2022 to be a Transformative Health & Wellness Nurse Coach.
I am in a course to be a Somatic Awakening Practitioner.
My new practice is now held from the sparkling waters of the Gulf of Mexico, in Florida, where I now live.
I also have a sacred space in the virtual world.
Home is where my heart is.
And I’m so happy you found me and my home here.
